“Dance is not just something you do, or a shape you put yourself in, it is something you live in.  Tango is not just a form of dance, it is a culture. To learn a culture, it is not enough to assume a shape which looks like tango. One needs to understand how you become what you dance.”

 

Jenny Smith has worked professionally in dance for over 20 years. In 2008, she moved to Argentina to train more intensively. On returning, she joined the West End Production of Midnight Tango. She has choreographed and performed tango for the BBC, Royal Ballet and as part of the Film4 Argentine Film Festival. She continues to perform and teach regularly in the UK, Europe, the US and Buenos Aires.
